“It was an honour to be involved in the restoration of this historic building that had such an influential impact. This was also one of the most ambitious and challenging projects of my career. Building to an incredibly high standard with cutting edge technologies whilst retaining the original features throughout the building”
Mark Mayes
Director & Co-Founder

Contributed to the conversion of the historic Grade II listed Old War Office, known for its rich history as the site where Sir Winston Churchill and other key figures made pivotal decisions.

Involved in the installation of a complex secant wall within the building, enabling a significant basement excavation and expansion—a remarkable feat of modern engineering.

Utilised large diameter load-bearing piles and specialist low headroom piling techniques to support the entire structure, allowing for a substantial excavation beneath the building.

Addressed unique challenges such as navigating over 4 kilometers of corridors and discovering hidden secret rooms and documents during the conversion process.

Aided in transforming the site into a luxury 5-star hotel with 120 rooms, 85 super prime apartments, a luxury spa, gym, and state-of-the-art car park.

Contributed to a project where the apartments start at £4 million and hotel rooms are priced upwards of £1,000 per night.
